If you prefer a more personal, hands-on approach, you may elect a divorce option that allows you to have one of our attorneys advise you and represent you in court. Please be aware that the attorney will only represent one spouse's interest in the divorce. The Wright Firm limits the attorney representation service to Dallas, Denton, Collin, and Tarrant Counties in North Texas. We serve clients from Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Frisco, Carrollton, Trophy Club, The Colony, Argyle, Roanoke, Highland Village, Corinth, Copper Canyon, Northlake, Sanger, Pilot Point, Little Elm, Providence, Savannah, Plano, McKinney, Irving, Garland, Arlington, Ft. Worth, and all of North Texas.

- Drafting the Original Petition, Waiver of Citation, Final Decree and Employer's Withholding Order
- Detailed how-to instructions to take you from Filing to Final Hearing
- Does not include the filing fee

Attorney Representation Options: Our Texas attorneys will draft and file your documents. Our attorney will represent you in court on day of prove-up. You will have a personal attorney working for you and access to legal support and advice. Please note that the attorney will only be representing one spouse.

- Copies of all divorce documents
- Legal advice and support by phone or email while your case is pending
- A status report email from your attorney every month your case is pending at no cost
- Representation in Court at the "Prove-up" Hearing
- Does not include the filing fee
Option 4 / Attorney Representation, Case Involves Children - $2000.00 Includes:
- Drafting the Original Petition, Waiver of Citation, Final Decree and Employer's Withholding Order
- A letter from your attorney to your spouse with the Waiver of Citation
- In-office consultation before drafting Original Petition and Final Decree
- Copies of all divorce documents
- Legal advice and support by phone or email while your case is pending
- A status report email from your attorney every month your case is pending at no cost
- Representation in Court at the "Prove-up" Hearing
- Does not include the filing fee
NOTE – Filing Fees and Court Costs are NOT included in Flat-Fee Price
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS – price shown is per document If you and your spouse own a home and need documents to transfer the property*
- Special Warranty Deed: $150.00
- Deed of Trust: $100.00
*These deeds will not remove your name from the mortgage note! The property will need to be refinanced, or an assumption of the mortgage must be worked out with the mortgage company. Otherwise, the property must be sold to remove your name from the note. Be sure to speak with an attorney if you are in this situation!
If you and your spouse own a vehicle and the title needs to be transferred
- Power of Attorney: $100.00
If you or your spouse have a Retirement Plan and the funds needs to be divided
- Qualified Domestic Relations Order: $750.00
- This does not include fees that the plan may charge for documents or for their lawyers to review the document
- This does not apply to cases where the decree has already been entered
NOTE: This is only for documents drawn at the time of divorce. Post-divorce document drafting is subject to The Wright Firm's hourly rates.
If you or your spouse have an investment account and need to transfer the assets in the account
- Letter of Instructions: $200.00
If Your Spouse Cannot Be Located
In these cases you will be responsible for Filing Fees, Court Costs, and any Ad Litem fees (if your case involves children) that you may incur. The Wright Firm will draft the following documents for an additional charge:
- Attorney's Affidavit of Last Known Address: $200.00
Client's Affidavit: $200.00 Document Revision Policy
If you wish to have a document revised AFTER it has been drafted, The Wright Firm will make the first revision free of charge. ANY ADDITIONAL REVISIONS WILL BE CHARGED TO YOU BASED ON THE ATTORNEY'S AND STAFF MEMBER'S HOURLY RATE AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE FLAT-RATE PRICE.
